Doing It RIGHT.

Right. I'm often asked after being on stage, where do I get that energy from? Well, here's the answer. Anyway.

I've teased this album for what may seem like far too long. And trust me - it's frustrating for me too, sitting on these ancient songs that are new to you. But look, I can explain! There's doing it, and doing it RIGHT.

The people I've given copies to and their "woah" reactions rather than "aww well done your first CD" have not only been reassuring, but with their own talent and accomplishments, very, very, surreal to me. I'm proud of these tunes, but also some days when the imposter syndrome flares up, have you seen that Limmy sketch with the 'Wrong Way Down A One Way Street' tune, it feels a bit like that!

But if I put it out tomorrow or sooner, any potential mileage can only go so far and potentially even reversed just as quickly. It's either a case of seeing it as a strategic operation, or blagging it into oblivion.

Thing is, in Sidcup and Greenwich, I've been a big fish in a small pond, about to venture to the mighty sea. Foundations needs to be solidified outside of it. But I'm pleased to hint that's not only happening, but then some. Surreally I've become a face and been adopted as an acquaintance by some serious up and comers, united in hopes to bring back song songs and lift each other up. It feels weird, but good.

Now - the live show is another ballgame, and launching both simultaneously is a must. These aren't easy songs, but I've somehow landed a selection of the most stunningly incredible musicians and top people that I know, so mindblowingly good that it's hard for my brain to wrap itself around not only their kindness but excitement.

Inevitably there's been turbulence with getting it up and running, mainly getting my brain into gear with a bit of trial and error, but thankfully all with peace, love, and understanding, to quote Lennon quoting Costello covering Lowe.

Over the next couple of weeks, the stage returns to me in full force - this Saturday, I'm with Nexus Leap at my musical home, Sidcup's Iron Horse. Next Friday is Deptford's Birds Nest with two of my soulmates in sound, Nathan Persad and Reece Bailey. And then Saturday 20th, I'm with one of my musical mentors, Andy Gilbert, at a SOLD OUT show at the Neighbourhood Church in Beckenham, praising my Nord with some wonderful up and coming talent.

If any bots claim to have tickets cos I said "sold out", they don't. They're telling fibs. And the other two are free entry anyway.

Anyway I'm gonna make a fresh pot, there's plenty of room in the cafetière so I'll leave enough for one for you x
