May.

It's June! And what a month May was.

On Monday, I put together an all-day charity event at The Iron Horse, Sidcup Calling. Sidcup called and everyone answered. The room was PACKED, the bucket was full, and the talent was enormous. The area's largest live music community came together and put on an incredibly rewarding day, and it's an absolute and true honour to be a part of it.

I did a set of my own and also was honoured to be invited to share the stage with Marisol Music, Nexus Leap, The Aim, Matthew Hart, Nova Halo, The Spiders from Sidcup and M.T. Pockets, and watched many many more of Sidcup's finest artists and acts delivering incredible sets with passion. And thank goodness for the pub's new espresso machine.

Going back to the start of May, the month commenced with two shows in the heart of London on a historic weekend - with the Islington Mods Mayday with Nine Below Zero, and The Marquis in Covent Garden with Nathan Persad. Both shows were exhilarating, sharing stages with wonderful people to incredible crowds who got it.

A couple of weeks later we set off to East Sussex with Nova Halo for a thriving festival gig. Nancy is not only my rock but also writes incredible songs that I love, and to play them with fantastic and dedicated musicians is an immeasurable thrill.

Aside from that, the acoustic open mics at The Iron had the most electric vibe you could get for an acoustic night - possibly the busiest they've ever been. The board have been overflowing with talent and the community these nights have created is a serious honour to be a small part of. And then the jam at The Pelton with Dennis Greaves' blues band created truly magic moments.

Coming up in the first half of June is The Marquis again with Nathan this Sunday (which'll double as a birthday celebration so come down!), HMV in Bexleyheath with Nova Halo next Saturday, and a rare "night with Tom Monks" in Orpington the following Friday. Gigs galore, and they're all up on the website.

I'm writing loads at the moment and the album's almost completed. I think I'm one song away? And then when it's done I'll decide what to do with it. I'm turning 27 tomorrow so should probably hurry up!

Maybe I should unleash another song in the meantime? Rather than just tease their existence?

I've recently reflected on the fears of 2020 and early 2021 and the seeming prospect of being able to work again being unimaginable. Now look where we are. It's good having a sense of purpose again!

Thanks all for being so wonderful and see you soon x
