That's it. It's mastered. The album is officially fully 100% finished. This feels weird. I've got an album.
And YOU'RE NOT ALLOWED TO HEAR IT! Well, yet, anyway.
The album itself being completed is just part #1. Now I'm putting my head down to maximise its mileage, so I can exist as an artist.
In this day and age, it's utterly crucial to be cautiously optimistic. But I have these songs, I have you, and I have nothing else, so I'm hopeful if we unite, we can do this.
This is why I'm going to go all out on it, with a proper launch and a proper show to go with it. It'll take as long as it takes to prepare. But when it's ready, I will push the big red button, and the journey shall commence.
I'd love to give a huge public thanks to Dan Cooper, of Rodel Sound and Waves Audio, who did a wizard job of mastering it. He made 6 years worth of contrasting scraps sound like a cohesive and flowing piece of work. And he laughed and punched his fist in the air at all the right moments, which was very validating.
I'll keep you updated when the launch is in the foreseeable. And I'll make sure it'll launch with a bang.
You think you know Tom Monks? After listening to the masters, I don't think even I know Tom Monks anymore. I will, however, make sure to become him x
