I've been told a lot more people are waiting for my album and band than I thought. Which is DEEPLY affirming and a bit of a surreal feeling. Huge thanks to everyone who's pre-ordered and saved already. If you haven't already you can do so here: https://linktr.ee/tommonksmusic

Now... I'm honoured to announce THE LIVE BAND!!
Me - Vocals/Keys/Guitar
Reece Bailey - Bass
Ryan Barquilla - Guitar
Leon Tilbrook - Drums
I genuinely believe Reece is one of the loudest characters that Planet Earth has ever created, and will make the musical history books with or without me. You couldn't make him up. On stage he's an utter acrobat in the brightest clothes you'll ever see; off stage he's a Vespa-riding Laurel and Hardy aficionado and and we're often awake til silly'o'clock watching SpongeBob or debating about the best incarnation of Godzilla. Knowing him is an honour in itself, to be such close friends is another, but to be musically welded to him is an absolute dream!

Ryan came to my open mic for the first time nearly a decade ago, and when he played he instantly stunned everybody. He's the perfect blend of technical wizardry and pure soul. And his vocal range is INCREDIBLE! I didn't think to ask him at first cos he's so good and established, the guy shares stages with Gabrielle and Little Mix for instance. Then he put HIMSELF forward. Okay then. Yes please! And every time he plays my solos in rehearsals and nail them to a tee I feel a little bit giddy!

I met Leon at Dennis Greaves' blues jam at the Pelton when we were on opposite ends of our teenage years. He's from an inspirational musical family and is an amazing frontman and multi-instrumental talent in his own right. I had a hard time finding a drummer for this group and I do think having such curveball songs scared a few of them off upon opening the Dropbox. But Leon has curveball songs in his DNA and when he put himself forward I knew he wouldn't leave me "up the..."

It's an absolute honour to have these forces of nature bring my songs to life on stage. Album out next Friday 19th December, and I've hijacked my friend Simmons' gig with a short set at The Iron Horse to celebrate it and debut the group. Then we're gonna seize next year in our own right! Get there early as it's gonna be busy x
